Dear delegates:

  In order to facilitate your interaction with other delegates, the department of academics reminds those who haven’t delivered your poster for the essay exhibition to submit as soon as possible. Also, for those who haven’t confirmed with printing out the poster either by the host team or delegates themselves, please do so before this Friday (July 8th).

  The purpose of this exhibition is to share your brilliant thoughts with visitors and obtain others’ points of view quickly and efficiently, without spending a long time reading the whole essay. In this manner, we strongly suggest you not to copy down too many words from your essay but to brief your main arguments in a creative and concise way. Graphs, charts, flows or any other interactive tools may be appreciated.

    Given the official deadline is passed, the late submissions should be sent to: academic@gis-taiwan.ntu.edu.tw. Please title your e-mail as “Poster PIN”.  For more details please refer to the program shown on the website.

 If you still have questions about the poster or exhibition, please don’t hesitate to ask via e-mail (academic@gis-taiwan.ntu.edu.tw). The GIS host team will be at your disposal.

Dear Delegates of GIS Taiwan 2011,
     Within a week, Global Initiatives Symposium in Taiwan 2011 will be welcoming our delegates from all over world to Taiwan. On the letter the host team has sent to all delegates, you will find three important documents: the map of the hotel, the pick-up point and other transportation methods and the overview of delegates' check-in process. Please make sure to carefully read through all attached documents and plan out your tranportation.

Dear Delegates of GIS Taiwan 2011,

     As our conference draws closer, the host team has begun to process the flight subsidy of all delegates.
     May we remind you to please remember in order for the host team to receive your flight subsidy from our university, you MUST provide us with your Boarding Pass (original copy) when you arrive to check-in on July, 10 or 11.
     Due to the change of "stricter" regulations, the accounting office of the university has informed the host team today that the price of your ticket fare must be printed on your electronic flight ticket copy in order for us to receive your flight fee. If your ticket doesn't have the price printed on it, the alternative solution is to provide us with your electronic copy of Flight Ticket Payment Receipt. In both cases, we need to prove to the office how much you have spent.
     For those who are still missing the information, please send us your electronic copy of Flight Ticket Payment Receipt before JULY, 9. Reply to us via this letter for us to process your documents. The faster we get the receipt, the faster we can receive your flight subsidy!!

Dear Delegates of GIS Taiwan 2011,

The host team would like to happily announce that GIS Taiwan 2011 is coming very soon, are all of you ready to come to our symposium? Here’s some of the important information you have to keep in mind before starting to pack for your trip! In the previous email we sent to ask every delegate to upload your poster which you’ll have to present it in the Essay Exhibition. Regarding to your preference of printing out the posters, please fill out the Google sheet linked (http://ppt.cc/SYrQ ) before July, 1st to let us know whether you want us to print out the poster for you which each cost NT$300 paid by the delegate when checking in or you could print it out yourself and bring it to the symposium (which should be handed in when checking in as well).

For those who haven’t uploaded their posters, please do so as soon as possible. Also, for those who failed to rank the orders of workshops, you’ve yield up your selecting rights to us and we’ll make the announcement of the workshops of all the delegates on our website today. Please keep checking our website or our facebook group once for a while for the updated information. For any problem, you are welcomed to contact the host team via gis-taiwan@gis-taiwan.ntu.edu.tw. Dear Delegates of GIS Team 2011,

     The host team is delighted to announce that within a few weeks Global Initiatives Symposium in Taiwan 2011 will be held in Taipei, Taiwan. Please refer to the Downloads page for the results of this year’s workshop selection. Detailed information about the three different workshops can be found on the Program page below Conference.

Furthermore, please check your mailbox for a notification letter about the posters that will used during the essay exhibition. Be sure to use the Google sheet and select your preference whether to print out your poster or to entrust the task to the host team. Please note that a small fee collected if you choose not to print out the posters by yourself.

Please keep check our website or our Facebook group once for the latest information. If any problem occurs, you are welcomed to contact the host team via gis-taiwan@gis-taiwan.ntu.edu.tw.

Dear Delegates of GIS Taiwan 2011,

     The host team has decided to postpone the deadline for delegates to upload their poster until June, 10th since many delegates informed us (both on facebook and our official mailbox) that they have troubles meeting the original deadline. For those who have already uploaded your poster, feel free to edit or revise it as you please and upload a newer version before June, 10th. We hope the extension will encourage all delegates to produce their ideal poster for the essay exhibition. Good luck!

GIS Taiwan 2011 – Essay/Action Plan

Dear Delegates of GIS Taiwan 2011,

        Top winning eleven essays/action plans will receive rewards honoring their hard work and achievements. The original number of winning essays/action plans (ten) has increased to eleven due to a draw. The top five delegates will receive an award of 50 USD dollars. As for the sixth to eleventh delegates, there will an award of 30 USD dollars. GIS Taiwan 2011 maintains the right to make adjustments when needed.

        Please also note that top winning delegates from the three subtopics will represent all winning essays/action plans and go onstage to receive the award.
